WalletInsights is an independent review platform operated by an individual based in Russia. We are committed to privacy by design. This policy explains how we handle data when you visit our website.

We Do Not Collect Personal Data

WalletInsights does not collect any personally identifiable information. We do not require registration, do not ask for your name or email, and do not use contact forms. No personal data is stored on our servers or in any database.

Privacy-First Analytics (Umami)

We use Umami Cloud, a privacy-first analytics service provided by Umami Software Inc. (United States), to understand aggregate website usage (e.g., which pages are popular). Analytics data is processed via cloud.umami.is. Umami:

• Does not use cookies or any tracking technology
• Does not collect or store IP addresses
• Does not use browser fingerprinting
• Does not collect any personally identifiable information
• Is fully GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliant by design
• No personal data is transferred — only anonymous, aggregated page-view counts

Hosting & CDN (Cloudflare)

This website is served via Cloudflare, Inc. (United States). Cloudflare processes technical connection data (IP address, TLS version, request headers) to deliver pages and protect against attacks. This processing is necessary for the legitimate operation of the website. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie (__cf_bm) for bot protection. For details, see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Cookies

We use one strictly necessary first-party cookie and Cloudflare may set one additional technically necessary cookie:

• "lang" — stores your selected language (e.g. "en" or "de"). First-party, duration: 1 year, SameSite: Lax, Secure. This is a functional cookie required for the site to remember your language preference. It contains no personal data.
• "__cf_bm" — set by Cloudflare for bot management. Strictly necessary for security. Duration: 30 minutes. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

Both cookies are strictly necessary under GDPR Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and UK PECR. No cookie consent banner is required.

Affiliate Links & Click Tracking

When you click an affiliate link, we record the click event (wallet name, button position, timestamp) for internal conversion analysis. This data is anonymous — no user identifiers, IP addresses, or personal data are stored. After clicking, you are redirected to an external merchant website (e.g. Ledger, Trezor). These merchants may set their own cookies and collect data according to their own privacy policies. We do not receive personal data from these merchants — only aggregate conversion reports.

Error Monitoring

To maintain website quality, we collect anonymous error reports when a page fails to load correctly. These reports contain only the error message, the page path (not the full URL), and a timestamp. No personal data, IP addresses, or browser fingerprints are collected. Error data is stored temporarily and used solely for debugging.

Data Retention

Since we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to retain or delete. Aggregate analytics data (page views, referral sources) is retained by Umami Cloud and cannot be linked to individual visitors. Anonymous affiliate click data is retained for up to 12 months for business analysis.

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Art. 6)

For the minimal processing described above, our legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — specifically, the interest in operating a functional website, understanding aggregate traffic patterns, and maintaining site quality. Since no personal data is collected, the processing poses no risk to data subjects' rights and freedoms.

Your Rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR, you have the following rights: the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Since we do not collect or store personal data, these rights are satisfied by default. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident: we do not collect, sell, or share personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). We do not use personal information for targeted advertising. Since no personal information is collected, there is no data to access, delete, or opt out of.

International Data Transfers

Our website is served globally via Cloudflare (US-headquartered, global edge network). Analytics are processed by Umami Cloud (US). Since no personal data is collected or transferred, standard GDPR transfer mechanisms (SCCs, adequacy decisions) are not required. The only data crossing borders is anonymous aggregate statistics.

Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect any data from minors.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
